Different: A Study in 1 Peter

About This Message

In Part 1 of Different: A Study in 1 Peter, Reed Moore asks us a convicting and challenging question: If someone looked closely at your life, would they notice anything different because you follow Jesus? It’s a question that goes deeper than church attendance or good behavior. Many of us have spent years trying to fit in, and we never really outgrow it. But what if our efforts to fit in are actually keeping us from becoming who God created us to be? In 1 Peter, we meet believers who are both chosen and living as exiles. Before Peter tells them how to live, he reminds them who they are: chosen, given a new birth, and made God’s own. We don’t earn this new life, we receive it. And because God has done something for us, it should make a difference in us, so he can make a difference through us.
